Scotland MVA 2/3/09





Scotland Rt14 in the area of pinch st. 1 car MVA rollover. Vehicle reported to be on roof, the door was removed and pt was transported ALS with minor injuries.

LEBANON 1/30/09 W/F








Here are some photos from the Lebanon W/F thanks to Chaz Griffin.

The fire was first called in by a pasting fire chief who reported a 1 1/2 story with heavy fire showing on Rt.32. After some confusion it was determined to be in the 500' of Rt.32 that is in Lebanon. Departments operating on scene were as followed Lebanon, Franklin, Windham, Willimantic Tower, Columbia, MTFD Fast, Baltic Amb, Medic 31Cover: Colchester, Yantic, AASI the house was a completely destroyed.

1st Alarm City of Groton 11/4/08




On 11/4/08 the City of Groton was dispatched to structure fire on Pine Island Rd. This house was three house up from the structure fire they had last night. First arriving units started the first alarm assignment. PBFD, Subase, Groton Ambulance, and L&M medics were started. Crews made a quick knock down limiting the damage. I will try to get more info on this and the fire the night before.

Ledyard MVA with injuries 11-01-08






On 11-1-08 the Ledyard department along with L.V.E.S was dispatched to RT. 117 and Spicer Hill Rd for a one car mva with injuries. The Ledyard Police on scene reported multiple injuries and requested as many ambulances as the dispatch could get. There was a total of 5 injured 2 ALS and 3 BLS. The two ALS were pinned in the rear back seat with long bone fractures. The roof was removed by the Ledyard department. The Gales Ferry Fire Co. was dispatched for manpower to the scene to help with removal and packaging of the Pt's.

Water Rescue Training 10-29-08





On 10-29-08 the Gales Ferry Department visited the Subase swimming pool to practice water rescue. The members practiced pt retrieval and the R.T.R.G methods. Later on we practiced spinal immobilization and back boarding while in water.
