Gales Ferry receives new pond

Thanks to the heavy rain fall on 3/2/07 the Gales Ferry department was busy with 22 basement pump jobs. The crews started about 09:00 and ended at around 20:30. The staffing was slim picks there for a while due to everyone at work. After all was said and done there were no major structural damaged homes in Gales Ferry to report. We did end up with a 10 feet deep pond at the middle school field. This area is known to flood but never has it been this deep before. Here are a few pics of the new pond, it should dry up for the next school year
